:These will be more detonation resistant than a generic piston with a generic dish of the same compression ratio. :So...the assumption that the higher the CR the less boost you can run on pump gas doesn't apply to these. I see manufacturers spending millions of dollars on research into combustion chamber design, doing computer simulations, etc. How would the maker of these know how to design the shape to make them more resistant to detonation than the stock pistons? Couldn't Nissan figure out how to do that with all their race experience and R&D? I'm not saying that they don't work, but I like to see some definitive proof before I believe a bold claim.
